How to make BOOTANIMATION works!!!
First get a bootanimation from here:

If it is Flashable:
copy to root of sdcard.
go to recovery mode(either stock or cwm).
then flash it
If it is non Flashable:
- then rename it to "bootanimation.zip".
- open root explorer(or similar app)
- explore to system>media>...
- paste here
- long press bootanimation.zip
- select permissions
- set permision as

NOW YOU ARE DONE, REBOOT YOUR PHONE...

It;s different for my HTC Inspire. I have to rename it to htc_bootanimation.zip and the location is also different. I also have htc_downanimation.zip and also have changed with the one in htc one x. This method works when I am in CM or AOSP
